Solon Policy

Can I text the salon phone number to book instead of booking online?

Yes! If you prefer to book by texting our salon phone rather than using our online booking system, you’re more than welcome to do so. To help us best match you with the appropriate stylist and service, please include the following information in your message:

  • Your full name

  • A brief color history (including any professional services and at-home color)

  • Current photos of your hair in natural lighting

  • Inspiration photos showing your desired look

If you are a new color guest, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is paid directly to your stylist and will be applied toward your total on the day of your service.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or reschedules. We completely understand that life happens, and providing advanced notice allows us to accommodate other guests and respect our stylists’ time.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will require a new booking deposit in order to reschedule and be seen by one of our stylists.

No-call, no-show appointments will result in being restricted from future bookings.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

We kindly ask that you arrive to your appointment alone. While we love seeing friendly faces, our salon is an intimate creative space, and keeping appointments guest-only allows us to maintain a comfortable, focused, and productive environment for both our clients and stylists.

Are children allowed?

We love your little ones as much as our own; however, for safety reasons, the salon environment can be dangerous for children. Unless your child is receiving a service, we kindly ask that you arrange childcare and do not bring them with you to your appointment.

How should I prep for my appointment?

To ensure we can deliver the best possible results, we’ve put together a few simple tips to help you prepare for your visit.

Please arrive with clean, dry hair so your stylist can see your hair in its natural state. We also recommend avoiding hoodies, turtlenecks, or collared shirts, as accidents can happen during services.

We encourage you to discuss pricing and timing with your stylist ahead of your appointment. This allows us to provide a relaxed, full salon experience without either party feeling rushed.

If you have any questions or concerns before your appointment, don’t hesitate to reach out to your stylist—we’re always happy to help.

Hair Aftercare

At Hive Hair Society, we believe the results we create in the chair are a partnership between our stylists and our guests. While we work our magic in the salon, proper at-home care is essential to maintaining the health of your hair and the longevity of your color. Below are our recommended aftercare guidelines to help you protect your investment and keep your hair looking its best.

For blondes and creative color guests, we recommend washing your hair only one to two times per week using cool to cold water to preserve tone and vibrancy. Consistent moisture is key, along with professional heat protectant products recommended by your stylist. Avoid exposure to chlorine and salt water whenever possible, as these can cause dryness and color fading. Use a high-quality detangling brush to minimize breakage, incorporate brass-protection products if you are blonde, and use color-depositing conditioners as advised to maintain your shade between appointments.

For extension guests, professional-grade moisture and oil products are essential to keep the hair soft and manageable. Brush daily to prevent matting and ensure wefts remain smooth and tangle-free. Avoid chlorine and salt water, and be mindful of sunscreens coming into contact with extension hair, as they can cause discoloration. Keep all maintenance appointments scheduled as recommended by your stylist to protect both your natural hair and extensions. When styling, use low heat whenever possible and limit washing to one to two times per week. Never sleep with wet hair. Always fully dry the root area around the wefts after washing. For sleep, we recommend a low, loose braid and a silk pillowcase to reduce friction. Refrain from slicked-back ponytails or tight styles that place excess tension on the wefts, as this can compromise both comfort and longevity.

Following these aftercare guidelines allows us to deliver long-lasting, luxurious results while keeping your hair healthy, strong, and beautiful between visits.
